How to Order Barbeque Catering

We get the question all the time – how do I order barbeque and sides for my group of xx?  We thought we’d write up a little primer on ordering meat, sides, and dessert for your next company get together or family reunion.  It’s not as hard as it sounds – the most important thing to know is an accurate number of guests you’re planning on feeding.  On more than one occasion we’ve had folks who have over-ordered, and under-ordered because they didn’t request RSVP of their event’s attendees.

A&J’s Rehearsal Dinner

We’ve decided to crown ourselves the unofficial Rehearsal Dinner capital of Corpus Christi, and with A&J’s Rehearsal Dinner, we’ve now hosted a baker’s dozen. We loved the simple, coordinated decorations they brought in and large red pillar candles. When you want to relax and have a comfortably good time for your rehearsal dinner, give us a call.

Tamez Baby Shower

We have to admit, its nice having a place to host our own family events as well! Soon we’ll be welcoming a new baby Tamez to the family, so we celebrated with a baby shower, complete with tunafish, chicken salad, and turkey sammiches, a (small) candy bar, and lots of fun games. You may not think of a barbeque joint as a place for a baby shower, but come on down and we’ll show you how! #tamezpartyoffive

K&M’s Wedding Reception

March is flying by!

We’ve been blowing and going the past few weeks here at the barn.  It feels like New Year’s just happened (and winter is still holding on) but we’re almost to April! We had a great time celebrating one wedding’s rehearsal dinner, followed by another wedding’s rustic reception that fit in perfectly at our place.  The first live music show at our place with Kimberly Dunn was awesome, and everyone who stopped in, whether to grab come ‘cue before the big concert at Concrete Street Amphitheater or sit back and enjoy a few cold beers while listing to the next BIG Texas country artist, seemed to enjoy our place. Kimberly Dunn presented by The Taggart Group

Kimberly Dunn playing at Hoegemeyer's Barbeque

So, last Saturday we had our first live music event here at Hoegemeyer’s. Corpus Christi has live music venues everywhere – and we’re not against the idea of offering up some good music, ice cold beer, and Corpus Christi’s best barbeque. We first heard Kimberly Dunn back in December when we were hosting the Texas State Aquarium’s Christmas Party. Immediately, the staff here fell in love with her and we began planning for her return. Our Program Feature for the 2013 March of Dimes Signature Chef's Auction

We had the absolute pleasure of participating in the Corpus Christi March of Dimes Signature Chefs Dinner & Auction last night.
